Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to tidy up messes quickly, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the best way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops in my tests are top-quality in navigation and mapping and are able to pick up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and track what they're doing.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop that has cutting-edge features take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up human hair and pet hair almost flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a miniature map of your home and some on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another noteworthy feature is the S8's ability to alter its cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
It's got a host of other innovative features too, including an alternative dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to wash and clean the mop roller without needing refilling it manually. With the built-in voice assistant of the S8, you can use voice commands to set room cleaning modes and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free with mopping capabilities. It's one of many combinator robot vacuums that include mopping capabilities that are offered at a lower price than the competition.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves establishing an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. After that, however, the robot can start mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It is important to note that the mapping process can take quite a while and it could require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection feature is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles but got stuck on a looser rug with tassels and required a flip to free itself. But these are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those who want an all-in-one cleaning companion.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping feature a rotating motion like hand scrubbing which results in floors that are truly cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach areas where robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa and other clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to alter a variety of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins, and place the debris into a self sealing bag. This helps to keep the system tidy and stops allergens from recirculating. Its battery longevity is sufficient to cover large areas without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
- Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more premium robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power and a rotating brush that is ideal for carpets and hard floors and a great obstacle avoidance. It also boasts a unique mopping system, that uses a roller that is continuously dosed with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology performed well in navigating close to walls without falling and avoiding stairs. However, it struggled with fine engrained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, which suggests it could be less of a set-and-forget model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking technology that allows it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dust bin, dry and wash the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors according to a routine schedule. You can manage all of its functions using the Eufy app, which gives an overview of the system and plenty of configurability.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums that are available. It delivers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. The LIDAR mapping sensors can detect furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with reasonable precision. The application allows users to adjust the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, and even alter the cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This is an issue with a lot of robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads spinning at 180 RPM while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system has intelligent carpet detectors that raise the pads when they are close to soft surfaces to prevent contamination.
The docking station is an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dries the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station comes with an integrated dust processing system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
- S10
This robot is a few hundred dollars less expensive than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office tidy. It is also able to reach into the corners of my small apartment. It uses laser mapping camera and laser to create a 3D map of your home so that it knows what to stay clear of. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that can block things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
It also comes with other notable features, like the self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can reach areas other mops miss. You can also set up cleaning schedules in the app and set custom settings for every room in your home.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets, with high-pile rugs. It can also avoid mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to save time. It's a great choice if you have a mix of flooring in your home but don't want to spend the extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
- Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice when you're seeking a flexible robot that can handle regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It has a range of features such as a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, and customizable settings via the app. It's quite quiet and can maneuver around furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up tangled rug tassels up, and its battery drains more quickly than other models we tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that offers an impressive suction and easy automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it performed quite well. It also includes a wide variety of cleaning modes to meet your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for rooms with carpet. It can even automatically remove and reattach the mop pads, and not leave your carpets soaked.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great mop and robot vacuum for those who live in tiny areas. It's very quiet and fast, and it does a good job of navigating tight spots. It also does a very good job of removing pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take photos of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys), and mark them in the app as "not located' so that they will not be picked up again during future cleanings. The photos are secure, and are not tied to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not as well in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot and it basically drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that have water reservoirs that can automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
